How to Save The World
How to Save The World
The outcome of the battle for agricultural control in India may just dictate the future of the earth. Modern industrial agriculture is destroying the earth: Desertification, water scarcity, toxic cocktails of agricultural chemicals pervading our food chains, ocean ecosystem collapse, soil erosion and massive loss of soil fertility.
Our ecosystems ore overwhelmed. Humanity’s increasing demands are exceeding the Earth’s carrying capacity. A simple recipe to save the world? One old man and a bucket of cow-dung. Are you crazy?
Modern agriculture causes topsoil to be eroded at 3 million tons per hour. (that’s 26 billion tons a year) Human mass is replacing biomass and other species. The carrying capacity of the earth is almost spent. To maintain our comfort zone lifestyles we will soon need five earths to sustain us in the style to which we have become accustomed.
The mantra of free trade has failed the world’s poor. There is a better way. Biodynamic agriculture may be the only answer we have left.
"Lead, follow, or get out of the way," I get out of the way.
Joe: Why me? Every time Metzler says, "Lead, follow, or get out of the way," I get out of the way.
Sgt. Keller: Yeah, when he says that, you're not supposed to choose "get out of the way." It's supposed to embarrass you into leading, or at least following.
Joe: That doesn't embarrass me.

Tesla started working in the telephony and electrical fields before emigrating to the United States in 1884 to work for Thomas Edison. He soon struck out on his own with financial backers, setting up laboratories/companies to develop a range of electrical devices. His patented AC induction motor and transformer were licensed by George Westinghouse, who also hired Tesla as a consultant to help develop an alternating current system. Tesla is also known for his high-voltage, high-frequency power experiments in New York and Colorado Springs which included patented devices and theoretical work used in the invention of radio communication,[5] for his X-ray experiments, and for his ill-fated attempt at intercontinental wireless transmission in his unfinished Wardenclyffe Tower project.[6]

Until recently, no one would have believed that an undesirable cigarette butt could have a chance to be used again. But now it could end up as a tiny piece of plastic — in a piece of outdoor furniture, an ashtray or a plastic pallet for industrial use.
“Our company has been committed to environmental sustainability since we were founded 30 years ago,” Cressida Lozano says. “We’re proud to be the exclusive sponsor of an innovative program to reduce and recycle cigarette butt litter, regardless of which manufacturer made the cigarettes.”

What is the green contract?
Answer: if you watch the movie 'the secret of life on earth' it will tell you ; the green contract is basically the food chain and how all life begins with plants and everything relies on plants; how plants and animals interact with each other
What is the green contract?

Salina builds a case against the growing privatization of the world's dwindling fresh water supply with an unflinching focus on politics, pollution, human rights, and the emergence of a domineering world water cartel.
Interviews with scientists and activists intelligently reveal the rapidly building crisis, at both the global and human scale, and the film introduces many of the governmental and corporate culprits behind the water grab, while begging the question 'CAN ANYONE REALLY OWN WATER?'
Beyond identifying the problem, FLOW also gives viewers a look at the people and institutions providing practical solutions to the water crisis and those developing new technologies, which are fast becoming blueprints for a successful global and economic turnaround.

PBS Special - Liquid Assets, The Story of Our Water Infrastructure
Essential to all life on earth, water is the provenance of civilization. Throughout history, thriving cities have had in common the presence of a water infrastructure. Much of the original American infrastructure, however, is still unchanged and in use today. This section will illuminate the integral role of water and wastewater infrastructures in our lives, offering a brief history of wastewater practices, in addition to accounts of the burdens placed on, and the neglect of, our current system.
A Watershed Protection ApproachTo understand the risks of neglecting our buried assets, we need to understand our role in watersheds and hydrologic/geologic cycles. This section will follow the natural cycle of our water supply and address the health and environmental hazards that our cities face when industrial and residential districts unsustainably interface with the water cycle.
An Engineering Marvel—Seeing the UnseenSimply considering the complexity of constructing a system serving a city the size of Philadelphia or Atlanta is daunting, but the task of restoring a broken system is even more so. With the help of 3-D imaging and dynamic animation, this section will visually expose America’s underground and explore, with engineers, the technical complexity of our national infrastructure.
21st Century SolutionsThe preceding section will dovetail into this one, which will explore the innovative solutions being developed by engineers to address infrastructure rehabilitation needs. Buried asset management, robotic pipe inspections, engineering research, pipe restoration and replacement technologies—these concepts, along with the best practices from around the country, will be explored, revealing a portrait of 21st century technology, economics, and solutions.
The ChallengeHundreds of billions of dollars are required to restore America’s infrastructure. This section will track how cities and regions are confronting infrastructure rehabilitation, both economically and politically.

Coherent consciousness creates order in the world
Subtle interactions link us with each other and the Earth
When human consciousness becomes coherent and synchronized, the behavior of random systems may change. Quantum event based random number generators (RNGs) produce completely unpredictable sequences of zeroes and ones. But when a great event synchronizes the feelings of millions of people, our network of RNGs becomes subtly structured. The probability is less than one in a billion that the effect is due to chance. The evidence suggests an emerging noosphere, or the unifying field of consciousness described by sages in all cultures.
The Global Consciousness Project is an international, multidisciplinary collaboration of scientists and engineers. We collect data continuously from a global network of physical random number generators located in 70 host sites around the world. The data are transmitted to a central archive which now contains more than 12 years of random data in parallel sequences of synchronized 200-bit trials every second.
Our purpose is to examine subtle correlations that reflect the presence and activity of consciousness in the world. We hypothesize that there will be structure in what should be random data, associated with major global events. The data overall show a highly significant departure from expectation, confirming this prediction. Go to the Main Menu on the left to learn how the science is done. For some philosophical and interpretive perspectives, look to the Aesthetics menu.
- Narrator: Modern speech had degrated down to a mixture of slang, hillbilly, and grunts.
- Narrator: As the 21st century began, human evolution was at a turning point. Natural selection, the process by which the strongest, the smartest, the fastest, reproduced in greater numbers than the rest, a process which had once favored the noblest traits of man, now began to favor different traits. Most science fiction of the day predicted a future that was more civilized and more intelligent. But as time went on, things seemed to be heading in the opposite direction. A dumbing down. How did this happen? Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to simply reward those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an endangered species.
